ABOUT
Borja Mucientes is a Madrid-based film director specialising in commercial filmmaking. Originally he studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Vigo, then he pivoted to pursue his passion for visual storytelling at the EIS Film School in Coruña. Shortly thereafter, Borja established his career as a filmmaker and photographer.
His work exists at the intersection of modern cinematography and the AI frontier, resulting in films that are both visually arresting and profoundly human-centric. Borja’s visual language was refined under photographers such as Isabel Muñoz and Riky Dávila, and further sharpened through the BFI Network x BAFTA Crew alongside industry-leading directors and BSCs.
Specialising in visual storytelling, Borja crafts atmospheres where the audience feels an emotion rather than simply viewing an advertisement. Whether directing live-action, AI, or hybrid productions, his vision translates narratives into lasting, cinematic memories.
His expertise and vision have led him to work with top global brands, continually reimagining the possibilities of cinematic storytelling at the intersection of art and advertisement.
